I was more reasonable with my water today - drank 4-16 oz. bottles during the work day. I’m also drinking some un-sweetened iced tea now. :) Keep your fingers crossed for my weigh-in tomorrow!

8 oz every hour should be more than enough. Don’t drown yourself!
Yeah, I think it was a little too much today! But, I got some exercise walking to the bathroom every 45 minutes!
Water
Resetting my alarm throughout the day for every hour, so that I am remembering to drink water consistently. I have found lately that I have not been drinking nearly enough water while I’m at work (next to none). The goal is to drink a 16 oz. bottle every hour. Obviously that means I’ll be taking a walk to the bathroom at least hourly also!
Are you drinking your water?

Read the book, too!!! It’s a wonderful, WONDERFUL piece of literature.
I totally plan on it. Knowing that most books I read tend to be better than the movie, I’m truly excited!

Went to go see “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” today. This was an absolute mind-blowing emotional experience and I felt privileged to be part of it. This movie was so good, and Thomas Horn, the young actor that plays Oscar IS A STAR in his first acting role.
Go see this movie. It will make you cry. It will be a catharsis.

My Daughter Is Leaving Me In The Dust!!!
And I’m so incredibly happy for her. We started this journey at the same time, and at the same exact weight. She has now lost 58 pounds, and I’m at about 45.
I feel 100% healthier and fitter now than I did 6 months ago, so it certainly isn’t all about the scale. I am very happy with the progress that I have made. But, I still feel that I could be doing better and I need to...

Been Hungry for Two Days!!
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’ve been hungry for two days now. This is not good when I’m trying to recover from Tuesday’s dinner! I’ve been pretty good and haven’t given in to it, but its frustrating.
Does anyone know why we sometimes go through phases like this? In kids, we normally say something like “it’s a growth...

Thank you! I was pretty happy with it, although I think it seriously shows that I need a new bra!!

Spectacular Wednesday Weigh-In
Week #34
Starting Weight:280
Last Week: 235.0
Wednesday 1/25/12: 237.8
Change: 2.8
Total Loss to Date: 42.2 LBS :)
Well, the fact that this post was actually easier to post due to the fact that I gained exactly what I lost last week, doesn’t make this sting any less. I knew this was coming though. Too many business meals this week, and a very nice, but heavy, dinner last night. ...

Will Not Be Good Weigh In Tomorrow
I’m pretty sure I totally blew tomorrow’s weigh in with my dinner tonight! As I mentioned, my boss was in town and we went to this wonderful restaurant called “The Fat Snook” - cool name, huh? It’s this little hole in the wall place and the food is absolutely AMAZING!
I started with a blue crab cake with a warm slaw. A fantastic spinach salad with a vinigarette...

Today was a decent day
Any Monday that you can say that, is a REALLY good day. :)
We found out that Kelsey is pretty ok - not really an infection at her incision, but more just an accumulation of fluid, that the surgeon feels he took care of mostly today. She goes back on Friday for a follow-up, but she can go back to school tomorrow. Now, whether she will have the stamina or not for it, is another matter!
I did...

Gallbladder issues
andthenitallchanged:
Hey everyone! After visiting Urgent Care and my regular doctor, it seems I am about to journey to the ER for possible gallstones and/or gallbladder removal. I am freaking out. Especially after my cousins gallbladder drama. Anyone who knows about this want to calm me down a bit?!
Another gallbladder will be biting the dust. I had no idea how common this was in women that...

Let's Talk About Paula
My name is Paula, and there aren’t many of us out in the world, so I’ve always watched Paula Deen with interest. Even when I was not into heathy eating, I would watch her cook and would cringe about the amounts of fats and sugar that she would use in her recipes.
So now we find out she has diabetes. When I first heard a couple of days ago, I felt bad for her and commented that her...

changingamy replied to your link: Greek Yogurt
I’ve never had it :o what’s the difference between Greek yogurt and regular ol’ plain yogurt?
Greek yogurt is strained, removing more water and whey than regular yogurt. It takes 3x more milk to make Greek yogurt than regular and it is much higher in protein. A small cup of Fage Fat Free has 13 grams of protein. The consistency is much more...

Watching Nickolodeon
We’ve been watching Spongebob Squarepants this morning. I understand now why parents have been complaining about how advertising to children is so bad. 80% of the commercials have been for high sugar cereals and another 10% has been for a fast food restaurant. These kids (and parents) don’t have a chance.
Watching Friends
Kelsey is home, happy on the couch and Season 1 of Friends is in the Blue-ray. All is well.
Out Of Surgery
Kelsey is out of surgery and the doctor says she did great. She’s in recovery now and we will be able to see her soon.

Nutella and Greek Yogurt
missmarisol replied to your post: Dessert
mmmmm what? Tell me more!
A 1/4 cup of Fat Free Greek plain (or vanilla) yogurt mixed with a tablespoon of Nutella. You can either eat it right away, or re-fridgerate it for a firmer consistency. Kristene turned me on to it and it is now my favorite dessert.
